About you and this role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Engineer (m/f/d) to support the Production team at our site in Stade, Germany.

As a Production Engineer, you will ensure the safe and reliable operation for our on-site manufacturing plants. You will also act as a key resource by applying technical skills to optimize plant operations, to resolve problems and to enable low-cost operations. Dow Production Engineers generate tremendous value to Dow through their knowledge, skills, and abilities.

In this role, you will collaborate with operators, engineers, and leaders and be part of an international environment, where you can explore, exchange ideas, and implement them.

Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with the operations team leveraging their problem-solving skills and technical expertise
  • You will ensure Most Effective Technology (MET) is understood and utilized and that process automation is used as a tool to optimize plant performance.
  • You will partner with experts to perform advanced troubleshooting and improve and document operating discipline
  • You will diagnose and document root causes of asset utilization losses in the facility
  • You will respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies
  • You will participate in the implementation of an effective Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) program

Qualifications

  • University degree in process engineering or similar
  • Fresh graduates or maximum of 2 years working experience in production, process control/engineering, or maintenance
  • Experience in interacting with interdisciplinary teams and with external customers
  • Knowledge and experience in quality management and its implementation
  • Solid MS-Office user knowledge
  • Experience in prioritizing tasks with excellent time management and a safety-first mentality
  • A team player who is willing to integrate and collaborate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Innovative and open-minded personality
  • Working proficiency in both German and English languages
  • Motivated to grow and develop in an environment that fosters continuous learning
