BMZ

Das Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) ist innerhalb der Bundesregierung für die deutsche Entwicklungspolitik zuständig. Den Rahmen dafür bilden die Ziele für nachhaltige Entwicklung (SDGs) der Vereinten Nationen sowie das Pariser Klimaabkommen.

Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei das Engagement gegen Armut,Hunger und Ungleichheit. Das BMZ versteht sich als Transformationsministerium,dass weltweit den Umbau hin zu einer nachhaltigen, klima- und naturverträglichen Wirtschaftsweise voranbringt, wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit fördert und zugleich Frieden, Stabilität und nachhaltige Sicherheit stärkt. Dazu wird die bilaterale Zusammenarbeit mit den Partnerländern weltweit abgestimmt und ein starker, an den SDGs orientierter Multilateralismus gefördert. Im respektvollen Miteinander mit den Partnerländern und global sollen Strukturen so verändert werden, dass ein besseres Leben für alle Menschen möglich ist.

Within the German government, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is responsible for Germany's development policy. The UnitedNations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement form the framework for the BMZ's actions.

The Ministry's work focuses on reducing poverty, hunger and inequality. The BMZ sees itself as a transformation ministry globally engaged in advancing the transition to sustainable, climate-friendly and nature-friendly economies,fostering economic cooperation, and simultaneously working to strengthen peace,stability and sustainable security. To achieve those objectives, the BMZ alignsits bilateral cooperation with the priorities of its partner countries around the world and works for strong multilateralism, guided by the SDGs. Workingwith its partner countries and worldwide, on the basis of mutual respect, the BMZ wants to change local and global structures in such a way that all peoplecan have a better life.
